Can you tell by the VIN?
I don't think so. But with the vin the moco can tell you the mfg date.

Just gotta get one made on a Wednesday afternoon... or better yet on a Thursday.

Tuesday night is bowling league in York, so they are nearly sober by Wednesday afternoon.

Tuesday afternoon is marginal at any time of year... as their minds are all on bowling...

Wednesday night is Church Night (no drinking)... therefore Thursday is the best day.

Thursday evening is Bingo Night at the Elks Club... so all bikes made on a Friday are TOTAL CHIT! Plus, Friday Happy Hour is coming up, so their minds are not on their work...

Monday is right out during football (and NASCAR) season ... as is Tuesday morning, from Monday Night Football hangovers.

What happens if you get one built on a leap year day  :'(

Another good day for a ride here in San Diego. I will always want to know issues to look for with my Bike. It just stuck me as strange that so many we're dissatisfied with their bikes, yet upset that Harley was changing them. I like the idea someone had about special ordering a CVO to your own specs. My best friend has a large guitar company and has a Build To Order (BTO) system so people can truly create something unique.

That's a little spooky... there is a slight family resemblance there.

But Honey Badger could smoke that Steamer... it's got no FLAMES. Plus, I can take my Tour Pak off!

That IS a nice paint job, tho... but for a mind-numbing $39K, IT OUGHTA BE!!!  :2vrolijk_21:Ken

Admit it, you're not far off $ I'm over that on the '09 and I bought it used!!

That's why I have 3 of them, so that I can ride one, while the other 2 are in the shop :'(

I don't think so. But with the vin the moco can tell you the mfg date.

I received the "Build Sheet" that was on the CVO at the factory.  Has the build day/date on the sheet as well as options.  Thought they gave that sheet to every new CVO sold.

That would've been cool to get.  There are a bunch of paper stickers inside the fairing, TP and saddlebags with dates and initials, but know that the actual bike could have been build sometime after those sub-assemblies were completed.  Was going to use the VIN and find out the actual date of final assembly, and hope for a Thursday date!!
