Anyone with an early manufacture 2007 want to chime in?  Not all is well.

My 2007 (delivered at Christmas 2006 and manufactured right before the Thanksgiving break 2006) issues were:
1. Came with an inner fairing that was not complete painted - had to be replaced.
2. Came with a gas tank with crazed paint - had to be replaced.
3. Came with a slit in the rear speaker leather - had to be replaced.
4. Came with a dent in the rear fender which had to be sent to a body shop and re-painted.
5. Delivered with the hydraulic clutch line loose causing loss of fluid and no clutch.
6. Leaky head gasket issue.
7. Two sets of heated grips failed - I upgraded to Heat Demons
8. Navigation issues (replaced nav antenna; replaced nav unit twice; thought I was in Oakland, CA when I was actually in Sturgis, SD)

Using the word quality and Harley in the same sentence is an oxymoron.

sounds like your bike was thrown together with all the damaged parts from the weeks run ...

as they say on the line -  "send it out and we'll deal with it when it comes back to the dealer"

happens with cars all the time

assembly line can't just let it sit there for a day or week till all the parts are right ...

always carefully check out your new purchase - not your fault - just the way things go some days

Glad it was fixed for you - no one needs that

That does mainly happen in a place without process control and are measured by RPPM. I bet HDs is very high and I do consider their quality low.

But I love my HD, go figure.  :nixweiss:

The 09's and earlier were hand assembled by a team of highly trained MOCO employees. My personal experience on my 07 FLHRSE3 is something I'd like to forget. :drink: My 09 FLTRSE3 is a keeper.  :2vrolijk_21:

Boat manufacturers have Harley beat hands down.I purchased a 60k boat and it took me two years to sort out all the issues.Every system on the boat is handled by their respective manufacturer, not the boat company.I could not imagine car or bike manufacturers working like this.Oh,your belt broke on your one week old bike?Sorry, you will have to contact someone at Gates. That is who manufactured it for us!On the positive side,I got on a first name basis with several factory reps!

I agree, my 2007 FLHRSE3 received 5 motors with VIN's from the Motor Company. The 2009 FLTRSE3 is a keeper as well. Nice to see my buddy TN is doing well.

I think you hold the record on engine replacement by MOCO on a single bike. I'm still awaiting my customer relations call from MOCO in reference to my 07. :huepfenlol2:

Life is good my friend, enjoy.  :beerchug:
