I suppose you are correct, the union is more of a pet peeve of mine. Seem them destroy many good business that no longer manufacture here on U.S. soil.

And its always the turd that does not want to work that drives it and spend time getting people in the union. They should all go and spend time with Jimmy H

I don't think the MOCO's problems lie with the workforce - union or not...

I think the MOCO's problems are with engineering failures, process control, low cost sourcing of parts and assemblies, and horrendous customer service and customer relations both by the MOCO and their dealer network.   ;)

Water Head Update. My friend did set up a just delivered water head today. He did say the set up went pretty smooth. He did run it and warm it up and took a bunch of readings and took notes again. The MOCO has updated the map 4 times since they stopped delivery a month ago. So they may have fixed the overheating problems. I did not talk to him tonight so I don't know what the changes were. He was going to spend a little time on it this afternoon.

Be Safe

I've held my Iron Workers Card for over 30 years, sacrificed a lot, worked in $hit New England weather, in less than desirable locations and elevations; My Local has the apprenticeship program, training, etc.
That being said, do you think you can do my job?

I don't know, the union won't let me try unless that's my job description.  As I was once told " If you ain't a fork lift driver then you can't drive a fork lift ", which I found kinda funny as I had driven fork lifts before I work in a union shop.   :nixweiss:

If you are responding to my post then you are open to this comment RIF - Reading Is Fundermental, as stated in my post " My Local has the apprenticeship program, training, etc." . This means trained individuals will perform the duties, thus, eliminating an untrained person misreading a blueprint while doing the ironwork. So, Mr. I don't know, since you have trouble reading a simple post it is my bet you would $hit the bed when it comes to reading the prints for iron.

Why does it matter if I can do your job or not?  :nixweiss:  My opinion are based on unions, how they operate, and how they have driven many jobs out of the country. (Or at least moved 50 miles to get rid of the contract)  It is generally to expensive and not flexible enough to deal with the unions in the U.S.

You might not see it being a union member and all but I lived it and the union makes a lot of promises on the companies expense to sell their memberships.

But yes, I can do your job

Your attitude alone would have you flying off the top steel on a high rise within one day bud. Again, you untrained, pissed off, union haters believe you can do a trained professionals job, keep living your dream it seems to be working for you.

I'm am now done with the union haters in this topic.

Typical union response, no facts and no knowledge. You assume that you know my skills and training but its obvious that you dont. Agree, done, no reason to discus with someone thats emotional.  Whatever makes you happy

Corporations have provided this, Unions did not provide anything since they dont manufacture or sell anything. Corporations that have moved out since the unions make it to expensive to manufacture did provide you with an income, that is if you did not actually work for the Steelworkers Union.
