I've held my Iron Workers Card for over 30 years, sacrificed a lot, worked in $hit New England weather, in less than desirable locations and elevations; My Local has the apprenticeship program, training, etc.
That being said, do you think you can do my job?
Why does it matter if I can do your job or not?

My opinion are based on unions, how they operate, and how they have driven many jobs out of the country. (Or at least moved 50 miles to get rid of the contract) It is generally to expensive and not flexible enough to deal with the unions in the U.S.
You might not see it being a union member and all but I lived it and the union makes a lot of promises on the companies expense to sell their memberships.
But yes, I can do your job
