Ed, yes it would have been really nice to have got the motor built while the snow was on the ground, but at the rate I am going it could be back before I am ready to actually take the bike down.....lol.
As it stands now, I have the 24d laying on the toolbox, a spare set of heads that I picked up, boxed up and hopefully can get sent off in the next few weeks. Plan is to take my spare cyl's and have James @ Independent Cycles bore them .060 for a 113. Really thinking I will use the HD 113 10.5 piston and machine the dome down till I can finish up somewhere around 10.2, rough guess would be around .030. You really don't hear many complaints about the 113 piston as all the complains are about the stock cyl's being out of round. Boring my spares fixes that. Hope by the time I get to that stage I will have been able to get ahold of a set of the Drago's to try. Really like the sound on a 124. So that should give me a pile of parts and with spring coming I will bet that I can get a weekend to throw a top end on and run it over to James to tune. Just recently found out about him and being a 10 minute ride over have spent some time talking with him and really like him. Who knows where it will end up, but anything has got to be a huge improvement over where I am with the 260's! Time will tell. How's the 117 going?
