This is typical of my mild 110" CVO builds with my headwork. TC24D cams, 58 mm T-body, this one has V&H monster ovals, and a Fullsack pipe.
John

Checking this thread again and glad to see a graph of High Desert Performance with good numbers like this. Paul is like 30 miles away so I know I have a good tuner that's close. Good dude to chat with. He also says there's some good machinists in the area as well so when the time comes I don't have to send stuff out.

Ed, yes it would have been really nice to have got the motor built while the snow was on the ground, but at the rate I am going it could be back before I am ready to actually take the bike down.....lol.

As it stands now, I have the 24d laying on the toolbox, a spare set of heads that I picked up, boxed up and hopefully can get sent off in the next few weeks. Plan is to take my spare cyl's and have James @ Independent Cycles bore them .060 for a 113. Really thinking I will use the HD 113 10.5 piston and machine the dome down till I can finish up somewhere around 10.2, rough guess would be around .030. You really don't hear many complaints about the 113 piston as all the complains are about the stock cyl's being out of round. Boring my spares fixes that. Hope by the time I get to that stage I will have been able to get ahold of a set of the Drago's to try. Really like the sound on a 124. So that should give me a pile of parts and with spring coming I will bet that I can get a weekend to throw a top end on and run it over to James to tune. Just recently found out about him and being a 10 minute ride over have spent some time talking with him and really like him. Who knows where it will end up, but anything has got to be a huge improvement over where I am with the 260's! Time will tell.  How's the 117 going?

David,

'Just pokin' fun, brother ;D

I know that you have a ton of consideration in all aspects of your Build, since you're taking all of the Component lead time out of the equation (unlike myself, LOL!) your downtime should be minimal :2vrolijk_21:

Any plans for the Bottom End?

You know from my Build Thread, that I think the 113 is the best combination going. If not for my ring issues I would still be there!

Ed for right now I am leaving the bottom end alone, depending on run out. My goal out of this is to see how this combo works, and to gain me about 2 more years. By then if other granite options are out there I can explore them, and if not and the 113/24d combo puts me in a happy spot I'll build a solid motor from bottom up. Still hoping at some point in time that S&S will release a 116 kit that will drop onto our case.... Still got that hang up on wanting to keep my S/N intact and the 110 badges on the heads....yea I know....kinda anal...lol.

Maybe I should be posting in the joke section because I have end up here because I an scared of my lifters and know they need to be changed.

45,000. Yea I know it's kinda of a crap shoot at that mileage. I'll check the run out before I tear down and if it's still in spec I'll continue on with the top end, if not I'll have to pull it all the way down and do a bottom end too. Hope that's not the case right now but if it is i will be hope S&S has a crank on the shelf and someone will have open time to do the case for timken.  Would really suck to be stuck in a cage for a month. I really would like a couple more years out of the bottom end, think by then maybe some one will have came up with a 4 5/8 kit that will drop off in our 110 case.

How many miles have you managed to get on the 117? What's your thoughts so far?

There will be no longer stroke bolt in kits for a 110 engine, the counterbore in the case will have to be opened up for that....not deep enough

No reason you cant get a set of 4.06 cylinders powdercoated to match the stock platinum and build a 120 or the same with a set of S&S cylinders but you will have to bore the cases either way .
