There adjustment is different than others. As I recall you bottom the lifter then back it off 1 turn.

I had them in an engine and they were ok, till I changed the cam plate and had to readjust the lifters. I let the one lifter sit for 2 days and it still wouldn't bleed down. Never did find out what wrong with it. Still have them on the shelf.

Make sure you check the lifter anti-rotation pin clearance with aftermarket lifter. Suppose to be .002-.004 clearance between pin and case.

If you are referring to Feuling lifters, your information is incorrect.  This is Feulings recommended adjustment, direct from Feulings website....

For what it's worth, the Wisconsin Drag Specialties plant is their world headquarters (LeMans Corporation, including Drag Specialties and Parts Unlimited).  Anything in North Carolina came from the Wisconsin facility.  Sounds like you had a bit of bad luck getting mismarked packaging...

The right cams came in  :pepper: So the bike runs unbelievabaly terrible seems to be starving for fuel around 4800rpms .. I am thinking since the bike is all stock except for what I just did (Fueling Cams & Lifters, Fullsac 2.0 Cores, cut-out Cat)  :nervous: Bike scheduled for Tuesday for the SERT and Dyno .. Anyone eexperienceance this?

SE PUSHRODS ARE 24 THREADS PER INCH .. I went 2 3/4 turns which puts me just past .100, I won't say I am rite but hope for quiet and easier start.. what say you?

The "dry" method has been around for a long time, and if it's done correctly and to the right spec it will work.  No matter what method anyone uses, the usual objective is to wind up with the lifter plunger centered vertically in the lifter bore.  If you start with the plunger at the top and extend the pushrod to center it, or you start with the plunger bottomed out and then shorten the pushrod the required amount to center it, you wind up at the same place, in the center.  However, when you fire the engine up afterward with all those "dry" lifters it's not such a great thing.  I haven't seen any lifter or pushrod companies promoting the dry method in a long time.  Perhaps you were reading one of those Donny Peterson articles; he throws out ancient stuff in his ramblings all the time.  ;)

Btw, when I say centered that's not to say you have to actually center the plunger.  Some recommend various levels of preload that aren't exactly centered, claiming various benefits for their recommendations.

I don't know if this is new but S&S recommends its premium lifters be adjusted .125 from top (total lifter travel .200).
