Anybody know anything about the change in the cam?

"There’s an airbox for increased airflow and a redesigned cam to optimize low-end torque. It’s got the fastest 60 to 80 mph 5th gear roll on in the history of Harley-Davidson."

Almost looked like they copied the advertising for the 2014 Ultra Limited's.

I get that the "twin cooled" bikes have to have lowers but I'm not sure that I care for the way
They look on the SG.

I love the look. I have the 12 CVO SG I would never take them off. Love the way they keep the wind off my legs too.

I agree, the lowers finish off the front end, without them it doesn't look right.
Have mine off when I had my crash bar rechromed and didn't like the look without the lowers.

I am not a fan of lowers, had them for both my CVO road Glides, would be on the bike only from Nov to march when its cold.  Bike looks cleaner with out them.

However I am going to have to leave them on my next CVO due to the twin cooling, it may not be as bad with the heat in the summer due to the twin cooling.

I felt like you, rode my 07 CVO Ultra without the lowers. When I purchased my 14 Limited I was concerned. Fortunately my concerns were unfounded. The new lowers have very effective vents. Combined with the cooler temps, I have come to like having lowers. I think you will too

Scott,

That is good to hear, and echoes what others have told me.  I just know on my 13, and my 12, with lowers its way to hot in the summer, but most tell me, its not bad on the twin coolers.

I took the vents out of mine for the summer and it seems to channel more air to the inside and keep the engine cooler than without them!

you will not be removing them from the 15's  but maybe the new set up will be cooler

As I look at the colors and paint of the new CVO Street Glides it reminds me allot of the bikes made by Fat Baggers Inc of a few years ago.

You mean disconnecting the speaker wires? Yeah took like 5 mins. Doesn't matter I don't want them off  :nixweiss:

Not ALL change is good >:( They replaced the cigarette lighter with a power port. Not a happy camper about that but I guess I can add one. Talked to a MoCo rep today and he said it's gubbermint BS. They quit putting lighters in cars a few years back and it finally caught up to the bikes. Like second hand smoke on a bike is every gonna happen  :soapbox:

Also, it seems they give you a memory stick now to put music on instead of an ipod.

I did meet up with member Glidin 13 and another member that I've already forgotten his screen name ::) but he was nice enough to spend a few minutes showing me the infotainment system on his '14 Limited so I'll at least have a head start whenever mine gets here.
