lol yep i didn't want them off either.  You lose those speakers.   Really 5 minutes  was there just  a plug to unplug the speakers
i liked the lowers on my sg i think they looked fine.
I always wondered how big of a difference those speakers make. I feel like most of the sound comes from the 4 in my dash.

Yesterday Rode over to the HD dealer to check out the RG and, possibly, the CVO RG Ultra. They did not have the CVO Ultra but they did have the RG and RG Special. The bike looks great up close. But I need one with a Tour pack. So the wait continues. Color-wise, at least on the RG, my wife agreed with me that the blue is exactly what the doctor ordered. Price-wise, the dealer wanted MSRP plus $1500 freight/prep and $200 admin office support (WTH?). If I don't want to wait for the CVO Ultra, the tour pack is $2000. Patience, patience...

Has anyone seen the CVO Ultra yet?

On a side note, we also dropped by the Indian MC dealership to check out the Roadmaster just in case. Good looking bike, great balance, and feels lighter. But we are staying with HD, either the limited or the ultra.

This may be my favorite.  Looks like much nicer colors than the 08 combo.

Would you have a pic of the maroon RG in the background?

Looked at a blue CVO RGU yesterday at Boswells in Nashville. Nice bike but without much discussion they said it was going to take $2k over list to take it home. Had previously thought about trying to get a red CVO Limited but the 2015 colors don't do it for me. Might think about changing to the red RGU.

I spent 35+ years in the wholesale food business and absolutely hate paying MSRP on anything!

IMHO, anyone who pays 1¢ over MSRP is crazy... If we simply stop buying into their hype, eventually it will end up costing them too much having them sit on their showroom floors, and then will be willing to deal.  However, if we continue to feed them, they will continue to rape us!

Heck with so many complaining about the outrageous prices, why would anyone be silly enough to pay even more?

Good things come to those who wait.

I've had to pay $3,000 over MSRP for both of my CVO's.
I would guess that they would give me about $20K towards the $43K they want for a 2015 Limited.
(OK, maybe I'm being optimistic about getting the $20K)
I just don't know if I'm ready for a Harley with a radiator.  After new exhaust, A/C and tuner, extended warranty and service plan, I might have enough left out of $50,000 to buy a bag of peanuts and a six pack of beer.  (Not counting the numerous trips to the dealer to fix the recalls, etc.)
I think people mistakenly think that the new bikes will have all the bugs worked out.   Dream on.
BTW, I have an appointment later this week to get my '14 SGS radio looked at again.  It's the biggest POS I've ever had.
Of course the radio has had to be replaced 2 or three times in the last few bikes I've owned.
I have to say that the SGS is very exciting.  Like when I'm trying to hold a line through a high speed curve while I'm using my touch screen because the iPod music suddenly switches to a fuzzy FM station all by itself!  But the bike has only had two recalls, so I guess it's better than average. :huepfenjump3:  (Maybe the '16s be perfect).

I'd venture to say that word should have been "Chose" cuz I'm pretty sure no one forced you to pay over msrp. I, as others, will not pay 1 red penny over msrp and if I pay msrp I get a deal of some sort to go with it.

I don't have to breathe either, I chose to.  But if I wanted this bike at this time from this dealer, I had to pay the premium.  Their philosophy is "Notice!  -This is not a Burger King.  You get it our way or you don't get the SOB at all".  :P

I have owned three CVO's two still in the garage, have not paid over MSRP yet.  Will be getting a 2015 CVO RG Ultra, and will not be paying over MSRP.  Dealer will be getting the 12 CVO RG in trade.

I've had two CVOs.  Paid under MSRP towards the end of the 03 production year and paid MSRP when the 10's came out.  There are too many MSRP dealers to pay more.

And can someone please tell me how a dealer can charge 1.5k to 2k for dealer prep and still look at you with a straight face?
