Looks awesome with that Wide Glide tank, but not sure it would come off as well with the more subtle flames of a SEEG. [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

Agreed, Brian.  Plus, as purty as it is........it might be too big and cover up too much of the 'bling-bling motor'.  :-/  har!   [smiley=drink.gif]spyder

I think it looks ok, not great but ok. And IMO I don't want a bunch of pointy sharp things pointed at and 6" from my thigh, et. al.  [smiley=nervous.gif]

That was just about my reaction too.  As a stand alone piece it's a neat looking item.  Against my bike and for my purposes though, ahhhhhhh, notsomuch.  Got to appreciate the effort someone went to though.  That was not an easy piece to fab up.

I do still want the bike/engine to be the primary focus.  So no matter how fancy an a/c cover might be I'm really not looking for anything so dramatic or fancy that it's sooooooo good it detracts attention from the motor behind it.

Now you know I loved the painted one ---------- But with your fancy engine, I think this looks best.  JMHO of course.   ;)

...By they way, how about a picture of yours with the new cover?
Ummmm, well so far I got it out of the box.  Got the sticker that covered the entire top of the thing off and all the goo removed.  Got the air cleaner in the garage.  Mmmmmm, I am not the faster wrencher am I?  Actually, a few hicupps in the garage lately have precluded the install, but it looks kinda straight forward so it will be soon.   ;)

Great news for all of you S&S Air Cleaner cover lover guys, like me!!! I just got off the phone with Doherty Machine. They will make a Delphi EFI Power Pacc with Power Vents for the '07 SE's. The kit is set up so the backplate accommodates an S&S Teardrop A/C Cover with no modifications!!! It uses the 3 screws that align with the standard S&S teardrop A/C cover from an S&S Super Carb! With a 10% discount and frt. to NYC, the total was $279.76. You need to supply your own S&S Teardrop Cover. I've been looking for a good way to do this. Doherty has the solution! ;) Hoist! 8-)

That's a cover I could live with on my bike, no matter what I do/don't do to the engine with regards to color.

Terry, I've asked Dennis of Chromedome, the sculpted eagle horn cover people, to look at making the center insert piece in the form of and eagle sculpture to match/compliment the horn cover. Don sent him the cover. They are looking at the options now. They'll report back to us on whether they can help us! ;) Hoist! 8-)

Yea, Howie...I've been keeping up with this thread because I'm going to probably be in the same boat as Don sometime next winter with regards to wanting to see more of the engine.  The football cover on my SEUC has a cover over the cover with a Screamin' Eagle on it, but it's basically just a stamped piece of aluminum. Doesn't look bad, but could be better.  And it's a different type of football than the previous versions. The round cover on the 07 SERK, Dyna, etc is the first round cover I've really ever cared much for, so I'm hoping that they can come up with a nice piece that is more 3 dimensional, yet doesn't stick out so far as to bump your knee or leg.  When you start sticking thicker filters under the cover, how far things stick out on the right side becomes an issue unless one is naturally bowlegged... ;)  Looking forward to what Dennis and Co. come up with...

ZAMBINI MOTORCYCLE ART already makes an Eagle Air cleaner insert . Bubba_T site member from Moss Point Mississippi has one I got for him. Some of you may recall me mentioning my neighbor Cappy. Cappy used to own Zambini Motorcycle Art but sold it last year. He ran it out of his garage. He was recently asked by the current owner if he would be interested in running it for him on a salary. ( Cappy's a retired Cop and they don't exactly get the world's largest pensions) Anyway, I'll talk to him and see what's up with this. By the way, do not confuse Zambini Motorcycle Art with Zambini Bros who make the little H-D motor magnets etc. While they are the original owners, they sold out to Cappy and then started up again after he thought he'd bought the name ( long story - - lawyers etc etc )

I need to thank someone.  Unfortunately don't know who though.

Met Ghost Rider (hi Travis !) for lunch today.  After that caught one brief meeting then went riding for most of the rest of the afternoon.  When I got back there was a little box leaning against the front door.  Someone sent me this with a little note inside reading "2lane, here's another air cleaner option."

That was it though.  No name or return address.  So, whomever was so kind as to have sent this along I appreciate it.  Thanks very much.

The old school EVO look definitely isn't too bad either.  I hadn't seen one of these for a long time.  Am pretty sure after some center gets machined up for the SERK style housing that it is what will end up there.  It covers enough without covering too much and complements everything in the process.  But this is a sweet little option to consider.  So to whomever practiced this little random act of kindness; thanks again.

Need opinions, I am thinking of this design for AC, points cover and derby cover.  Design available in various colors including orange and red.  Question:  the paint flaked out of the script engraving on my stock covers, can anyone tell me what color it should be for an O/B SEEG?  Orange or Red?  I recall it was Red to match the pinstripe, but not sure. d00d, need help!!!
