A friend gave me one of these for Christmas one year - McCuff No Splash, No Spill, Motorcycle Fill... no problem with splash/overfill when using it. :2vrolijk_21:

My only thing is where do you put it to keep it from reaking of fuel? I see it comes with a pouch but I wouldn't mount that on my bike! :o :huepfenlol2: Maybe a ziplock bag would work. Wonder how much it cost? Went to click on website and said there is a problem with the websites security certificate! :nixweiss:

The pouch is (plastic) lined and I keep it in the glove box in the lowers (gasoline evaporates quickly... I wipe it off and store it w/no problem). Don't know what is up w/the website I got the same thing when I "click to order". :nixweiss: Friend that gave me mine got it from a dealer.

Those things may be Dood-proof but they weren't Mikey-proof.  When the OCC crew hammered together a bike for the mftr the unveil included Mikey using the product.  He poured gas everywhere.  It was great!

Later edits and showings dropped that bit.  Guess they didn't want the world to see the part wasn't Mikey-proof.

Pretty f'n sad that folks have to carry extraneous crap around with them to keep fuel off them and their bike every time they fill up, all because the clowns in Milwaukee couldn't engineer a toilet paper roll much less something slightly more complicated.

How about the 6 gallon tanks with the filler located to the side, do they fill without all the drama and hoopla?  Maybe the answer is to just abandon the eglide style tank and convert everything to the two hole version.  Of course, this all becomes moot when Harley brings out the all electric version.  Then folks will be reporting issues with difficulty getting the plug inserted to charge the batteries, because some styling guy added a piece of chrome trim to satisfy Willy's bling requirement.

Here's an idea.  Strap a regular gas can on the back of the bike, take the filler nozzle and put the gas in the can, then use the can to pour the gas   s  l  o  w  l  y   into the filler pipe of the bike.  Once the tank is full, fill the can and strap it back on the bike as a reserve fuel supply.  Try not to get rear ended while the can is strapped on the back.

I would like a new, updated CD for the Navigation. Doesn't seem that hard and I'm sure they would sell a ton of them.

Are you talking about a NAV CD for the HK Nav system?  Nobody would buy them because that system is worthless when compared to a Garmin, TomTom, etc.  If you're talking about a CD for the Garmin 660/665, you can get a liftime update through Garmin for about 90 bucks.

Limited space for BSR.  Already installed a George Anderson mod to push back tour pak about 1.5".  Got the wife to try it just before the engine blew.  She said it was a noticeable improvement.

The engine rattling sound.  Might be in my case to a manufacture defect.  Otherwise it may be more noticeable to me due to the surround fairing compared to my former RK with stock windshield.

Heat of course.

Why no retractable tether for the tour pak lid?

Those adjustable rear floor boards seem to hit my calfs no matter how I adjust them when my feet are on the ground.  I wonder if those boards will work with the standard attachments.

Tank fill, but I had worse.

I already got floor board extenders for myself, just waiting to get my bike back hopefully by next week.

Oh yes, almost forgot.  The near worthless adjustable rider's back rest.  Adjustable to whom? LOL

Two things I would like to see

1.  Water cooled engine....this 110 is way too hot
2.  Passenger floorboard that dont rest on my Calf when stopped.

Try swapping the passenger board supports side to side, other's have reported it makes a big difference.

about the splash problem:  I never put the pump on auto-cutoff,  always stay seated to fuel, keep bike upright, only insert nozzle into filler neck halfway, keep both hands on the nozzle to steady it, and watch the pump while I listen to gas going in.  You can hear the gas nearing the nozzle end way before splashing out.  Staying seated you can't collect a static charge related to the bike either.

The only time I got splashed or overflowed was when I stupidly depended on the auto-cutoff function to work.  All the products and money being made to fix a problem that can be avoided by using a bit of common sense and care while fueling is nuts.

I never use the auto cut off function when filling the bike, because I know better.  BUT, the post '06 fill neck itself makes it more difficult to fill, no matter how slowly you pull the trigger.  And some pump nozzles have a hair trigger...no "trickle" mode...which only makes matters worse.  I can't/won't fill the bike while sitting on it, trying to balance it at the same time, and risk dropping the bike, the bars flopping over and knocking the nozzle, and not having a good line of sight to the fill hole.  Left side, both hands for me, and even if you're really careful, you'll get some splashback if you try to get it full...not to mention that the tank is hard to get full.  Poor design.

Oh yeah I forgot not everyone has one gas cap center top like I do, some have 2.  That would really make it more of a problem if the neck is poorly designed.  Call me crazy but I pull up to the pump so close I can reach out, swipe the card, fill er up, and ride off.

And sadly, after switching to Amsoil today I don't think I got any more temp relief as I expected.  More pressure when hot though.

Oil Bud for me I think re. oil cooler see "new oil cooler" thread.  Wish we had some more testimonials with numbers.
