The numbers are what they are. I rode the bike for about 6 miles had the booth set up. Came back made , check engine temp made 6 pulls and the last three are the highest as the bike is sitting.  But I would not compare a Dyno Jet to a dyno star sheet ..

I will say that the bike does run a bit rough in the lower RPM if you flick the throttle open. Some hesitation and then it clears up. By the time it was warm it seemed to be better but not 100% . Best guess is the AFV is skewed. I will have to shorten the 02 sensors bungs on that pipe. They are too long a some what common issue with the 18 MM style bungs on the D&D. If I remove  . 150-.200  in height they will read much better.

I'm only aware of one other DynoStar dyno I think it's in the mid west somewhere. Sometime about mid summer my bike just didn't feel as strong as when it was first built and tuned that's why it's in your shop now!!

   Lever,

Steve (GMR) has my bike in his shop to to a complete teardown and rebuild using this kit along with his other recommended parts, some his, some S&S but all at his discretion. I'm sure as the build progresses he will post what he encounters with the build, and I would think the other builders will do the same as well. I also think as more of these kits get installed the builders will develop and tweak their  configurations for a particular type of build or riding preference-- cams, head work & head gaskets, etc. This is a new kit and we're gonna have to see what the builders are gonna recommend as they gain more knowledge of what works for them. We all know what most of the Cookie Cutter HD Dealer shops are going to recommend, the parts that are listed in the HD P&A catalog, won't or can't think out the box!

BostonBoy

We're all anxiously awaiting to see the parts list and dyno graph.

We "Steve" will be using his 600 cam with the 117 Drop On Kit.  The entire parts list is in post # 1

Still up in the air on that "No Pun",  I believe Steve is looking into the new TMAN Zero Loss air cleaner kit but he does have alternatives that he uses, this entire build is at his digression. I'm sure when Steve gets closer to that point of the build we'll discuss it!

After reading this I decided to get on the bandwagon and buy the kit. Will call the dealer tomorrow and then hopefully get it installed and on the dyno in February. No snow in MI so no reason to not ride!  Looking forward to see the results on this install

Cylinders check out great no issues there. :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21: However if you decide to install an after market crank or re build yours for what ever reason the pistons are made for the tapered rod only. You can machine the inside of the piston if you have a full top style rod.. The silly part is that Mahle makes the after market version of the 110 already machined ..  :confused5:   Just a FYI

Probably because HD believes their crap crank and rods will stand up to more power and torque without issue :drink:

This brings up something I was already thinking about, if we you were to buy Mahle pistons for my a 117 build, would you choose ones that would give you a different compression ratio? Do you think you could get a pair that were close enough in size that you could fit to the cylinders with a light hone? You said they have a 110 version but does Mahle offer a 117 version that's machined properly for the S&S rods? Maybe a 117+ if you would need to bore the cylinders to get a proper fit?

Do you know if the HD cylinders are, or will be, available separately?
