Cylinders check out great no issues there.
However if you decide to install an after market crank or re build yours for what ever reason the pistons are made for the tapered rod only. You can machine the inside of the piston if you have a full top style rod.. The silly part is that Mahle makes the after market version of the 110 already machined ..

This brings up something I was already thinking about, if
we you were to buy Mahle pistons for
my a 117 build, would you choose ones that would give you a different compression ratio? Do you think you could get a pair that were close enough in size that you could fit to the cylinders with a light hone? You said they have a 110 version but does Mahle offer a 117 version that's machined properly for the S&S rods? Maybe a 117+ if you would need to bore the cylinders to get a proper fit?
Do you know if the HD cylinders are, or will be, available separately?
