Isn't that just like the Mother Ship!

They know they have major issues but won't admit it until squeezed a bit.
thing is when he first called and left a message I took it as they were trying to point to bad fuel. As he explained the conversation, they have basically though unofficially admitted a supposed problem in their manufacturing and or paint process. The additional cleaning is at their cost and I figure it protects me on the warranty if the current pump goes bad again. As I posted before they say the pump is updated with a new part number so they obviously know it is a problem. The only further thought I had after conversation of bringing bike in and waiting on it versus dropping it off (2 trips) he said we could just wait to see how next week shapes up weather wise and I could ride there. Called him back later with the thought was if they are saying it is due to polishing media though I realize this would be an issue of clogging the pump what is the effect of what is getting beyond the pump on injectors, cylinders etc. While in agreement this may be a very minor issue to me even a polishing compound =grit. Not a good thing after doing a $5000.00 engine build. I will trailer it there.
