Welcome to the "Club!"  While Ol' Maudie ain't a CVO, I've yet to see a CVO pass the Ol' Girl, when she is stretched out.  I've justified to my Friends here, and abroad, many times over, the actual cost savings I have accrued on fuel consumption, not to mention the return on my pleasure of being "In The Wind", WFO.  I conclude the 50+ Large, I have invested in Ol' Maudie, puts me way in the Black on this deal.  :2vrolijk_21: Later--HUBBARD

I got my first CVO, red DWG2 when they came out because if I was to build a bike it would have been damn close to what the CVO boys did, although with a bit of motor too.  Not that I would have done red, that is how I bought my second CVO a DWG3.

I had an employee that had a burning desire for the bike and when the "black" DWG3 came out I had a burning desire for it.  Turned out the guy had boots in ostrich that matched the seat on the red bike.  So I got the bigger rear tire and black which is great.

We were riding two up on a 2000 Ultra at the time as well and I liked the SEEG, but the Ultra was "Cindy's bike" and she didn't want to trade the black Ultra for a SEEG.

I lusted after a SEUC, even though the MoCo hadn't built one.  I pretty much knew if they did a SEUC that I was gettin' one.  When the 2006 dealer show was held and they came back saying the SEUC's were coming I got on the list for the first Blk/Crimson that came.

It's then that I found the site and it's been all downhill from there.  I really didn't need help with my OCD, but I must admit the help I have received here has been great and I have found items for the bike I may not have otherwise.

Now if they would just do a SESG I'll be like a pig in ............... ::)

I had no idea what a CVO stood for Screaming Eagle whats that - Now if you ask about a horse I could probably carry on a conversation with you But I had no idea what I was looking at or for. I just knew that I loved the way the Harley look and I was in the market for one. I went to a dealer just to window shop and a very astute salesman said I have just what you need. Come out here and sit on this - Well I have heard that before and I was just a little concerned. It was pretty a 05 SEFB Silver Vance and Hines long shots. Long what! My sweet wife is standing in front of this bike looking we agree its pretty. The salesman says would you like to drive it - Oh no I have never driven one I dont think that would be a good idea - OK he says well lets just start her up - And He Did - And I Had one of those moments and my wife looked at me and all she said was S$&*T we just bought a Harley. The sound of those pipes moved me more than  - Well I just cant put it in words and not get booted out of here. My first bike everwas a 2005 HD Screaming Eagle Fat Boy Imagine my brothers responce when I called him and said dude I need you to drive my new bike home.

Reasons:
53k on my trusty FLHTC - Got a $$ offer I couldn't refuse for her
Financial timing was right
Really liked all the features
Never thought I could afford one, suddenly I could
Just a real sharp looking scooter - nice color combination

I've owned many HD's over the years and 4 previous RK's. It's the only touring bike I'll own. I tried an EG once and sold it after 1 month. Didn't like a fairing/TP bike. I don't care too much for colors on an HD either. Unlike Neal, to me, HD's belong black! They finally came out with a black RK. The '07 B/I SERK! I took one look at this factory touring Hot Rod and knew I had to have it. I fought with dealers for 2 months until I got on the Phase III list. As soon as alocations became abvailable, the dealer I made my deal with called and gave me a build week. Long story short, as a true RK fan, I finally got the baddest RK ever built. Now not only will my '85 4-speed EVO Wide Glide go to the grave with me, so will this SERK! ;) Hoist! 8)

I first read about the 2004 SEEGs in the Enthusiast magazine that came out in the fall of '03.  2 years prior, I had just purchased my first Harley, a 2002 Electra Glide Classic in luxury blue, after 15 or so years of riding rice.  I loved that bike, but I could not get my mind off of the 103" motor, all the chrome, the silver engine, the spun aluminum gauges, and all the other stuff that makes a CVO a CVO.

At the time, a close friend of mine had just returned from a motorcycle trip to the Smokies.  He had a Dyna Wide Glide, also his first Harley, but on the way back we had switched bikes for a hundred miles or so, so he could get a feel for my big "bagger."  So, after telling him how I was lusting after the SEEG, he innocently asked me what I'd want for the '02 Classic.  I said, "Hey, let me see if I have to get my name on a list at the dealer for the SEEG, or what, and we'll go from there."

The dealer here said I was the first to ask about the then new model, "So, whichever color you want, we'll put your name on for ya, no money down required," the sales manager said.  I said, "Damn, I'm really having a helluva time deciding about the color." :nixweiss:  Then he said, "They're doing the black and blue ones first, and we have one coming in in about two weeks."  I said, "Great!  Let me know when you get it and I'll be right down.  If I like it, I'll buy it!"  "Cool!" said the sales manager.

Well, after several sleepless nights and drooling over that article in the Enthusiast magazine every chance I got, the call came one Thursday afternoon, about two weeks later, just like he said.  He goes, "It's here!" I said, "I'll be RIGHT down!"  Well, one look at this bike sitting there in the bright fall sunshine and I said, "I'll take it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"  I rode it home the following night and then took it back the next day for the fall Open House they were hosting.  I'd never been the first kid on the block with anything, so it was really fun to watch all the people's faces as they tried to take in all the details on the bike.  I was one proud papa!!! :)

The following weekend, I sold the '02 to my buddy who, as luck would have it, had unloaded his Wide Glide through an eBay auction during that week.  That was 3 1/2 years ago now, and we're both still as in love with each of our respective bikes today as the day we got them!  It was just one of those things that was meant to be. :2vrolijk_21:

Here's the first peek I had of the bike on that day that it was delivered to the dealer (I know, I know.  DAMN, that's a good lookin' bike!!!! :drink:):

You would think one of these bikes would have all the mods you would ever want. That doesn't last too long, we all want to be a little different or unique. But they are great looking machines.
