If a person receives and installs the Freedom "setup" without dyno tuning it - I wonder what the average HP and TQ numbers are...??

Based on the info from Freedom they state that the 103's will get 103-105 hp and 101-103 tq. I purchased and installed their set-up and can tell you that the performance increase was substancial. I have not yet had in dyno'ed but will ride to Reno in the spring and have them do it just to be sure. I could not be happier with the product or the service from them!!!

While I really like the Pro-Pipe....which I've had on all my bikes....I'm really thinking about just ordering their pipes along with having them program my pcIII.

I just like the duals on a bagger better. I wasn't sure I would, but now that I've had the Pro-Pipe on for a while, I like the dual look better.

JC and Magoo, my bike was dyno tuned.  The way it came I got 90 hp and 92 tq.  After redoing it Jeff got 94 and 97.  I don't know how all you guys got such good numbers?  I don't have any other engine mods other than the high flow aircleaner.  I think elevation is about 500 feet.  I have no idea what humidity would be.

Has anyone with the Freedom Pipes besides Loose_Goose had their bike on a dyno other than the folks that sell the pipes?  I was, and still am interested in a true dual set up.  Freedom, Vance and Hines, Caliber, etc., but was waiting for more dyno numbers before making a decision.  The local dyno guy put my SEEG with the one piece SE pipes, ac kit, and Race Tuner on the dyno and and claims the best he could get was 84hp and 93# torque, and showed me runs from several SEEG's with the same mods and they were all close. He laughed at me when I showed him some print outs of dyno runs from this site.  He says I won't get numbers like I see on this site with just pipes, ac kit and PC or Race Tuner. His says dyno operators are prone to inflate the numbers to satisfy customers and impress them with their tuning skills. He then pulled up my dyno run, punched a couple of buttons, and made the numbers higher.  I really think that he is trying to convince me to do the cams and head thing and/or he just don't know how to tune an EFI.   He did my old 95" Wideglide and got some great numbers,  but it was a carb and he installed the parts. I wish I had taken it to another dyno and compared the numbers with what he got.  At least, after I showed him the charts from here and argued with him, he did not charge me for the dyno runs.

JC, adding pipes and a Powercommander is not going to add 20 hp.  Ask Dave P. from this site, he had his bike dynoed at Doc's too.  Doc was in the top 8 drag racers at Sturgis this year.  I don't know if Jeff dynoes his bike or not, but I'm sure he uses the same dyno.  I'm going to look back and see what kind of numbers Dave got.  I really don't care what the numbers are, I know my bike will run and perform a lot better now.

Hey Loose Goose;

I'm confused. I couldn't find any posts where you said that you have the Freedom set up. Do you have their pipes and map????

If so, I completely agree with Magoo. You should call Brad at Freedom and talk to him about this.

Also, check out some of the early 1980's NHRA Pro Stock record ET's online. You'll find the Yuill Brothers car in therre a couple of times. They used to race against guys like Don Glidden.

RRSteve; Your dyno guy might be interested to know that they helped Byron Hines develop the "Pro Pipe" before Vance and Hines was sold, They participated in the development of Edelbrock's Twin Cam heads and got the license to sell modified Rinehart pipes from Gerald Rinehart. They really do know what they are doing and have been doing it for over 30 years at the highest levels. They are so much more than just a local dyno shop.

If these guys tell you their package makes 103 HP and 104 TQ, you can believe it.

I just want everyone to realize the Yuill Brothers are aboout as credible as you can get. Everyone wants to find a comfort level with the guy who works on their bike.

PCC he didn't mention the Freedom set up and I don't think he has that.  Neither do I and that's why I posted my information for him.  Several other people that don't have the Freedom package have numbers right where mine are at so with the mods I have, I'd say those numbers are pretty normal beings the others came off of different dynos in different parts of the country.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm not promoting Pro Pipe......this is my first and I wish I had known about the Freedom package, first.  I've run Thunderheader on the last five or six bikes and still swear by them........I'm just gettin too old for the noise level.  But Pro Pipe isn't that much less, either.  Oh well........never happy..........
