After you hit next from previous post/screen you will see the screen below. You will need to click on "This file contains proximity alerts", and "Alert whenever you get close to a point". Just below the "Alert whenever you get close to a point" will be a text box with "Alert at this distance:" to the left of it. This is where you will enter the distance you want to be alerted. I've chosen 5 miles which has to be entered in feet (26400). I just found the procedure on how to do the proximity alerts so I don't know at this time how effective they are. I'll let you know when I get within five miles of a H-D dealer. ;D

Gary, I've started playing with xImage. I can now get screen shots from the garmin. Does anyone know how to put images back into the 478?

Look Chip, 230 mph!

I believe you should have a folder in your GPS unit called "images". I'm on my laptop now and not on the computer that has the manual on it. If that folder doesn't exist just do a search on the GPS drive for "*.jpg or *.jpeg" to find out where images are stored. Once you find them see if they are the images that are the start up screen or any images you are familiar with then you can just copy files (images) into that folder.

Things that stands out with the Zumo over the 26XX, 27XX and 28XX series units are: the very rapid route calculation and recalculation times, routes are calculated in about 5 seconds or less, the older GPS units are much slower; internal Zumo battery, once you have a GPS with an internal battery you won't want to be without; Zumo has SiRF receiver technology which makes the Zumo much more sensitive and faster to acquire and retain satellite signals so you are less likely to lose reception around tall buildings and under trees etc., even works inside my house and garage.

This is true, Zumo is one of the slowest calculating and recalculating but the other features still outweighed that negative for me. JMHO for what it is worth....

Just posted this in another thread, but thought it would be good info for here also. For those that are interested in adding the XM radio feature to your Zumo check out this thread - Garmin XM Radio Mounting Hardware.

Something else from Zumo forum...

If you want the Zumo integrated to your Harley without using the AUX input (which means the audio is only available when you have the AUX input selected), Kennedy announced a Harley-specific version of their 'CellSet' system today.

The detailed information is not available tonight, but here's the product release announcement that was distributed to the Kennedy dealers this morning.

This kit allows you to use the cellphone if you like and also provides a input for a Radar Detector, if you like.

I personally have been holding out for the White Southern Trailer Trash female voice with most of her front teeth missing...at least I could understand that voice.  I want directions like "turn right up yonder, just after the store where you get the coon pecker key chains, but before the trailer with the 4 used washing machines in the front yard and the firebird up on blocks".  Those would be useful voice commands around here....
