CVO's Top Speed

I realize this is a adolescent question, but I never see TS published in road tests. Hey, a thirteen year old asked me.

More then likely liability reasons. To imply/give out that information might entice someone to try it on the street.

I know my bike will do at least 85.  Downhill.  With a tailwind.  After I've eaten chili.

Had my 07 stock to 115 @ around 4000 rpm, plenty more throttle. Last weekend in Utah @ 6500', raced a stage 1- 04 VTX 1800 with my stage 1 flhtcuse2...neck and neck till 100,  shifted to 6th and he slowly pulled away. My mistake, I would have liked to blame it on having more wind resistance than him though.

If you shifted at 5 grand, you would have kept up til 115. The cams fall down around 4500, but the 5 grand shifts would have kept you in the sweet spot for each next shift. The bike is definitely geared as a 140mph bike. But you'll never get there with the stock cams. Put a cam in that will pull to redline, and the 110 6-speed will definitely hit 140, my next move! ;) Hoist! 8)

Mine will do 95 in neutral. I got in behind Hoist the other day and using his draft I kicked it up in neutral and he just tugged me along at 95. Best fuel milage I've ever gotten.

Ken, I promised not to tell him about the little tow strap.  He never seemed to notice it either.

Don,

If you tied off to his bike with a tow strap, you're more of a man than I thought you were! My hats off to ya! LOL

It's ok.  I put the training wheels back on first.
