New dealer is ordering my new speedo/tach and D&D Fatcats. My appointment is set for 7/16. They will work on the bike starting that day, I'm told. I sure hope so. The rear head gasket is leaking like a mother now. All over the tranny top cover, and forget about what the fins on the rear jug looks like! I'm not even cleaning it. By the time I bring it in, I might be pushing for new cylinders. I refuse to try to clean this mess! The tech I want to do my motor work, only works M, W, and F, so it might be more than a week there. As long as it's getting worked on, I don't mind. I want it done right. It's possible I'll have it back by the 21st if he goes straight thru. Now I'm not sure what to do. Tuning the bike in the dog days of summer is not ideal. My bike can sit at the tuner for who knows how long if it's too hot and humid. He will only tune if the weather is practical for tuning. Joe's a great guy and very smart man. I hope I can dump a close enough map in until we get weather for tuning. This is turning into a real clusterf**k! It appears now that this stupidity, caused by HD not caring whether they make a quality, tested product, can take all summer before it's finally resolved. F HD and their return to shareholders!!! Start thinking about us! Then again, go water-cooled so you8 can lose your major loyal customer base and all those greedy execs and shareholders can lose a fortune. That would suit me fine and maybe wake their sorry asses up as to who pays their bills! Us loyal bikers kept them alive in the really dark days. And this is the thanks we get! FTF!!!

Had a great day riding with Rich and his buddies yesterday Don. Got up a little, had some coffee and then called the new dealer I'm going to use to discuss my fate. They were very nice. None of this is their fault. It just gets my blood boiling everytime I start thinking about it. And by talking to them brought back all the deatails of this fantastic experience I'm having right now thanks to our friends at the MoCo! FTF! FTF! FTF! ;)

And speaking of that race in Florida,

Even if you take Rhino out of the contest I would bet a hundred bucks on Howie winning even if he was riding a Buell Blast!

When the flag drops, that Blast will be at the finish line before advice can be copied and pasted as to why it wasn't a fair race!

well brotha cant say I;ve never been there..it does suck big time....as far as kissing alittle ass to get what you need...well it works for me....every once in a while I will buy pizza for the parts counter guys...(in there enough) so they treat me like a king....and a 24 pack of brew for the service manager....not saying that will always work on them but it does seem they apreciate it ...you shouldnt have to do a dam thing for the money we pay but at my dealership it seemed to give me alittle foot in the door with them......a reliable dealership and waay fair ...took good care of me a few times.....it is that time of year to get your chain pulled though..hope you find a cure of what is ailing you

Hoist.....

Here is my take on this.....first of all you are an excellent communicator......and it's obvious that you are passionate about riding....I throughly enjoy reading your posts....because you are willing to provide detail and descriptions....No one wants to see anyone have a bad experience with their ride....it's a very isolating experience....and to know you are down with your bike during the time of year when riding is available to us all is disheartening....but on the other hand....because this has happened to you...the positive is that we all can read about what your experience has been like....and to that end you have benefited us all....So personally I thank you for being as "detailed" and informative as you are....I might add you are quite entertaining as well....

In my opinion, this entire situation couldn't have happened to a better person....many will learn from your experience...I really see the benefit to many.....and yet like I said....I feel bad that you are going through it....but if I was running that 110 engine I would be very interested in your experience....heck I am interested in it now and I don't even own one.....

Anyway I just wanted to say thanks for everything you are offering with your experience....
