I am not a owner as you know we own a shop. I amnot sure that I should vote but thus far we have done 17 bikes with leaks all where under 40,000 with only a few over 30,000. If you want to add this feel free

No problem here exceppt that they may have already been documented here by the owners.  Any re occurring leaks?  What was done?  Mileage on fixes?

No further leaks and I do ask every CVO owner is he is a member( keep looking to meet one) and they where not. I would have to pull the invoices to give exact milage , if I recall correct 3 where over 30K all other where less and none where under 18K

Bought new in Sept 2006
New head gaskets in Spring 2007 around 4500
new lifters in Sept 2007 around 7400 ( noise )
"weeping" around base gaskets now and perhaps a small leak on rear head again
I'm waiting a while to see if we get a new and improved gasket and lifter noise solution before I take it in again though.
Basically stock - slip on's / K&N /H-D Race Fueler
Not too happy all in all
my 11 year old Evo Heritage Springer is much slower but much nicer to ride
Sorry, just being honest

Oil leak on rear head started at about 7000 miles, had both cylinders, gaskets, pistons, and rings replaced at 9000 miles. Now have just over 10000 miles no leaks so far

Update: Dealer found the crank runout was 55 thousands. Motor has been ordered and received and .  .  . being installed.  :bananarock: :orange: So far very happy that they didn't try to bandage it up with parts. I'll need to do the break in again, but nothing like being able to get back into the saddle. I'll keep my fingers crossed that the problem is taken care of and I can now keep the bike in my own garage and on the road where it should be. Happy camper since this is the beginning of my riding season.  :orange:

Are the resetting the odometers to 0 miles as well, or leaving the existing mileage that has already accumualted on the chassis?

Look there is already a complaint on file with the NHTSA: http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/problems/complain/results.cfm

I would encourage *all* CVO owners whom had an issue to register their complaint via telephone or online.  With enough complaints they can take action, if MoCo will not voluntarily recall the engines the NHTSA will make them recall the engines!

"Government engineers analyze the problem. If warranted, the manufacturer is asked to conduct a recall. If the manufacturer does not initiate a recall, the government can order the manufacturer to initiate a recall."

Online: http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/ivoq/

I just picked up mine today, mileage remains the same where you left off.  Seems Ok,  no felt differences and my new tranny doesn't leak.

Good luck man, you have had more than your fair share.

i hear ya, my 96 FLHR is very roadworthy. and doesn't weep a bit. it's a dog compared to the 110 but confidence is part of it too!

I haven't picked it up yet, but there was no mention of reset of the mileage.

Just went for a ride this last week about 800 total. 3200 miles on the bike now and the valve train noise has increased dramatically. Anyone else experienced this at this milage interval?

After re-reading all the posts on the 110" leaks, makes you wonder if the design limits on the seals/gaskets are out of limits with the high engine temperatures.  :nixweiss: Of course there could be a manufacturing issue, hopefully not from China, but sure points to some inadequate testing on the part of MOCO.
