Chuck,  I'm awe struck!  Your motorcycle looks great.  No "so far," or "when it is back together"  qualifiers.  Plain and simple:  you done good!  Congrats.

Thanks REGGAB,

I'm just glad I'm done with the "What else should I do?" questions. Everything now is known and the final target is coming into view. I think the scope creep is finally over.  ;D

Thanks Charlie,

Maybe I'll be able to show it to you this year at the wall.  :2vrolijk_21:

:indian_chief:

Definitely hope we can hook up at the wall this year.  After finally getting to lay an eye-ball on you, I'll want to see your "new" steed up close and personal like.  ;)
Cheers :2vrolijk_21:,

Here are two phone shots that will totally screw up everything. First comes the gold base, then graphics, then red candy in the appropriate palces, multiple coats to get the proper shading. The graphics aren't done yet, but it's starting to take shape. I'm sure when the candy starts going on in the appropriate places, the whole character will change drastically. Right now, I see a gold bike, but this one is gonna be red.

These pictures suck being taken inside under the flourescents.

Fantastic design - I especially like the tank and side covers....   :2vrolijk_21:

I look forward to more pictures...!!

Thanks to everyone for their support. I got to see the candy this morning and it's pretty. It will get even better after all the final coats of clear have been shot, blocked and buffed. I've been guaranteed that no lines will be discernable with the fingertips.  :2vrolijk_21:

Too bad I don't have a frame to hang it on to see how it's gonna look right now, but maybe it will get here early Feb. We'll be getting pretty close to riding season by time this gets all back together. Where did all that winter project time go?  ;D

Thanks Jim. I'm hoping to start bringing pieces home tomorrow. No reason to go back to the shop as they're just doing the final clears. No more graphics or color coats to look at. We're in the home stretch now.  :pineapple:

To say I'm kind of nervous is an understatement. While everything is "in process" changes can be made. Now it is what it is and I'm going to actually pay for it.  :nervous: :nervous:

Still wish I had a frame to hang it on. It's going to be a long month waiting for a frame.  :(

Talon, I'm going for red (Apple Spice) candy powder. I just sent off the swing arm, fork stem, swingarm brackets and some other little stuff to Sumax yesterday.

Are they going to coat it all at once? You can get variations in color if done at different times. Cant Wait to see it!

I don't know. It makes sense to me that it would be the best thing to do it all at once, but I haven't questioned them on it. I'll ask once they get all the pieces.  ;D
