Hi Frank,
I took a different tack with my Harley. I bought it new in 2003, the 100th year edition, Electra Glide Classic. But, mine is paid for and I really wanted to venture into the CVO models. I thought of trading it in but found I would end up loosing 45% of what I had in it. That was too big a bite for me. I then thought, well, I just buy another one! You can never have too many Harley’s so I’ve been told. Then I found and read all the stuff on this site you have read about the newer 110ci. That scared me off, for now anyway. I’ll keep watching and buy one eventually. In the mean time, I decided to “Custom Build” my Electra Glide. I was going to have the 88ci built to the 110ci, but found the build kits used the same parts as the factory models. Long story short, I built mine into the SE103. I sat down with the service department and custom built this SE103 to suit my riding. I got it back a few days ago and I’m VERY happy with my decision.
