My Dealer and Tech are great

Talked with Bob Dwyer HD, he states, my crate motor has the new flywheel, new cylinders to eliminate sleeve movement, and 16801-07A Head Gasket which needs to be replaced with the 07B version. According to Bob Dwyer HD has addressed the flywheel problem, cylinder sleeve movement problem, and the Head Gasket problem with my bike. After viewing the cylinders, run out etc. the only problem was the 07A Head Gasket (laminated 4 layers of metal).

Do you think they will eventually come up with a solution and fix the 110's or will they just continue to bandaid them until the warranties run out?

If that's true, they have an awful lotta factory defective 110 motors to replace on their hands now. Somehow, I doubt we'll ever hear HD state any of that publicly! ;)

At some point it either becomes a fix or replace situation.  Betting on the fix since replacing ?? 15,000+   :nixweiss:
110's could be trifle expensive.

25,000?  I was only off by 10k.   ;D That might cut into their bonus plan even.  The guy that fixes this problem is a likely candidate for "Employee of the Year."

Huh??  ???  What new flywheels??   ???  What new cylinders??   ???    Did I miss the big announcement??  How about asking Bob for the part numbers of these new components....??  Does Bob know the new "B" gaskets are failing?? :nixweiss:

No info on the flywheel, but the cylinders my dealer has on backorder are the same part number as always.  Not aware of any modifications here - if any have been made to cylinders would be very interested.

There does appear to be some confusion on who has a 7A gasket replacement vs a 7B gasket.

Actually, as in many things internet related, the whole damn thing is confusing due to confusion of info.
