Thanks for monitoring this site to see what folks are saying about your product. We don't even have to seek you out. That is cool.

Pez,

Yes your suggestion in regards to the iPod Volume worked great, however on the way back home the rains and winds picked up so I really could not hear the iPod or CDs due to the wind buffeting the side of my head and ears. Works great when it is not blowing.

Thanks again,

OK you guys all sold me. I just placed my order for speakers. Sure am looking forward to hearing them.

I have a different question relating to the bikes audio.

I've installed a SIRIUS Sat. reciever, and have run a wire from it to the aux on the front of the radio. Now only the right speaker works when it is plugged in. The stock cord has two connections on it, so I picked up a 2 into 1 conv. plug @ radio shack. I've switched the plugs back and forth and dosn't seem to matter... Any Ideas???

Could be a few things things...

1. your two into one adaptor isnt for stereo...and has mono out...meaning one channel...almost alway right for mono.

2. the aux jack only has a mono in...for the female input...some of the high tech stuff used aux input for digital and analog....depending on what plug and the signal coming in it auto sets.

3. You dont have it pushed in far enough and only engaging part of one pin...sorry about this one but I have seen it.

Look at your adaptor 2-1 and look at the 1 end. It should have three conductive points seperated by insulator rings usually black. If only two them its mono.

Look at the female plug or wiring diagram for the unit and verify that it can recieve a stereo analog signal.

Plug a portable cd player in it for troubleshooting the aux input.

Basically you need two analog signals...left and right....and a ground/sheild. If you already know this, sorry...I you need something a little more high tech. PM me.
I do Elec. Eng. for living and I am out with broken leg...have lots of time for troubleshooting from desk.

Just wanted to relay an great customer service experience I just had with Pez and Hogtunes . . . .

For the past several months, the Hogtunes speakers that I got in late-March, or so have been suffering from distortion not long after leaving for a ride.  These are the earlier version, the ones before the redesign to handle a higher output amplifier like the SEEGs have.  I have not had a lot of time to be riding let alone messing with the bike this summer ( [smiley=furious.gif] , but that's another story), so I just now got around to contacting Pez last night.

I explained the situation and symptoms in an e-mail to him late last night and less than 12 hours later, a new (improved) set is on its way!  This is tremendous customer service!  Quite frankly, I'm not sure how he is able to afford to take care of all the SEEG owners that have suffered issues, but it is certainly a breath of fresh air to see someone stand behind their product the way Pez does as well as offer up a sincere apology for any troubles caused!

Thanks again, Pez - you're awesome! [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

I put them in my bike right before street vibes.  They are a LOT clearer and less distortion at 80 mph.  I'd still like more power from my stereo though...

Pez,
After many months of procrastinating (and to top it off I talked a friend of mines into ordering your speakers for his '06 Street Glide) I have placed my order for speakers tonight. This says something for your product if I can sell them before even purchasing them myself and showing what a difference they make. I know I will be happy when mines arrive and I get them installed. Thanks for offering us the discount, and even more thanks for making the product and allowing us to really enjoy our stereos. You "Da Man". [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

3 bolts on the top of the fairing.  1 on each side in the inner fairing below each hand grip then 2 they are on inside of each fork above the chrome piece that sits just above the middle of the fender below the neck.  May need a flash light to see them with the wheel cocked in each direction to get them to them depending on which side your doing first.

7 bolts and off comes the fairing.   Make sure you cover the front driving lights with something Sock / Towel etc so you dont scratch the fairing as you pull it past them.

Then Unhook headlight power  pull fairing off and there the speakers sit.   Take the bolts off each one then put in place new speakers bolt them in and reverse the process.   Make sure you do not over tighten it all when you  put it back together if you do sometimes it can be hard to realign the fairing on the gaskets / bolt holes.   then go back and resnug it all evenly.  Just changed some speakers for a buddy the other night and whole process took about 25 to 30 minutes.

Finding the bolts under the neck the first time is really the toughest challenge you will face :)

As above, with the addition of having a magnet on a stick handy to grab the bottom screws WHEN YOU DROP THEM.

The socks are important too.

My speakers arrived today, will install them in the next couple of days. I'm going to try to rig up some kind of catch rag/towel for those screws when I drop them (especially screws #6 & #7). Learned the hard way putting on the "Lifter Block Covers" that things will fall and hide from you. :(

If those dorp they drop into the pan below them so its no big deal they arent really gone :)  they are just harder to put in with big hands.  Then all you need is the magnet pen  from Sears to pick them out.  Just have a good light handy.

Guys Guys Guys - take the headlamp out (Chrome trim ring and then 5 x self tappers) then you can SEE the screws 6 & 7 and get them in real easy - It works, try it.

Cheers

Dave

PS The socks are a must - wifey came out to the garage and saw me "at it" and asked if'n I was keeping them warm - LOL
