BLA BLA BLA BLA BLA BLA BLA

Thanks for your profound advice DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD?

Every person rides at there own level.
When I do go (DIE) I will know I had fun on the ride there.
Not think to myself, wish I would have done this or that.
O"yea, seen plenty of people wreck going strait also.
When its your time its your time, live a little, or at least let us live a little.

Thanks again DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD
Dave
OK, folks – go ahead and flame me. I can take I, and I deserve some of it. Let me say a few things first:
I did NOT post to criticize Naitram or how he rides. Please take what I said as a commentary on what I saw in the pictures, and not as a criticism of him. Heck, I have no idea how he rides, I don’t know him and I cant draw conclusions from a few pictures. Seems like he has a lot of friends who came to his defense so I take it he is a good rider. I apologize to him for any implication otherwise. And as one guy said, might have been better to put it in a different thread.
I DID post for two reasons.
First, I was alarmed by the idea that people would look at these pictures and get the idea that its cool or somehow good to be throwing sparks. I know from experience that when I follow people up a canyon that are scraping at every turn, sooner or later they are in the creek or worse. Sorry if I got over-zealous about it.
Second, I know that when I first moved to a large bike, I almost killed myself several times in the canyons. Comparing myself to a few of the other riders that seemed to be able to ride very fast on big bikes, I knew I wasn’t doing something right. But when I went looking for answers, they were hard to find. They don’t teach this in the “ride in circles around the cones” classes. I had to talk to a lot of other riders, observe them, and dig through a few books and magazines. I hoped that my post would get a few folks started in the right direction, and alert a few others to things they might not be aware of.
I don’t claim to be an expert rider. Im just lucky enough to live where I get to ride canyons every day. Put me on a city street or a California freeway and Im sure that most of the other riders here can run circles around me.
I got the clear message that as a “newbie” I wasn’t welcome to give my opinions. That’s fine, its your board., I wont express my them again. How long do I have to be here before I can post?
