Sound like a plan to me...will be next year for sure.  The additional variable with this motor is the dual 43mm TB's...they have to be synchronized every several thousand miles...no biggie.  Have to do more exploring on options for the intake side...dual, or just open up the air box like I did on the Vrod.  From what I'm reading, there's another 10-12 on both sides that comes pretty easy.  It's about like a stock 110 right now, maybe just a touch more.

When and if we move.....................  :2vrolijk_21:

Terry it is so pretty up there.  Thanks for sharing.

It is, Henry...

I've sorta got 5 acres just outside Mentone, towards Georgia.  One of these days, I may be able to wiggle my way onto that land.

Equally as pretty up there.  We're right here on the ragged edge of the hills.  It's nice out here, but it's growing.  We'll stick around for awhile, then move.  Always have enjoyed the area between Scottsboro and Guntersville.  Another area that piques my interest is between Arab and Cullman.  We've also given thought to areas in southern Tennessee.

Colors up here are great right now with the best expected in about another week to ten days.  Must have been a lot of folks riding the same area yesterday.  We didn't get out until mid afternoon, but living 10 minutes from Guntersville State Park and 20 from Bucks Pocket we were "in the color" from home all the way and mid 70's around 3PM.  Was really a great day, as I was on the lake all morning pre-fishing for an upcoming bass tournament, lunch and nap and then off on the scoots for the rest of the day.  Tough job ... but somebody's got to do it..... :2vrolijk_21:

Surprised we didn't pass each other some where along the way...we were coming over 227 about 4:00-4:30.  Didn't see any SE bikes at all yesterday, though there were plenty of others out.

Fishing should be good...I saw shad moving around all over the place, with a few getting busted on top.  Good luck in your Tournament!  I've caught some keepers in Short Creek, just under the bridge in the right hand pocket/bank.  Also, along the rip/rap of the bridge there.  Of course, there's good fishing all over the place up there.

Terry, thanks for the great pictures!  Very enjoyable to see.  Lived in Boston a short time as a kid and have not seen the change like that since.

TC,
i had a chance to ride one of those over the weekend. i was very surprised at how well it was balanced, it didnt have that typical metric cruiser top heavy feel. rode very smooth from the time you crack the throttle on. my only complaint was the excuse for a heel shifter

Yea, the heel shifter is a strange little item.  I don't heel shift, so all it does it take up space for me, so it's coming off and replaced with a billet chrome toe shifter to match the brake pedal I put on.

The Stratoliner/Roadliner is a different bike than most any other Metric out there, from what I'm discovering...part of it is the aluminum frame/swingarm, and .7 gal of fuel sits down below the frame in reserve...when the low fuel light comes on, the LED readout starts counting how many miles you've gone on reserve.  Better find gas in about 20 miles. Range is what I'm used to though, about 140-160 miles between stops, which is good for me anyway.  I'm getting anywhere from 38-45 mpg.

A man just can't help but twist it every once in a while, ya know...despite the occasional rap on the helmet, or squeeze with the knees.

Great pics Terry. Kind of makes me think I need to plan an autumn trip to the "Home of the Brave and the Land of the Free". We saw some tremendous sites during our recent trip. but you just don't see colours like that over in Europe.

Could quite fancy a day out on the lake after the Bass too.

Hey TC......great pics.  Thanks for sharing.  I made a quick run up to the NC 'parkway' this weekend.  Nice also.  You're gonna have that scooter in 'form' in no time at the rate you're going.  :) Har!  spyder
