I've got one on my bike, given to me by my uncle.  He rides as well.  I don't know that I am superstitious, but if it's good for my uncle, it's good for me. :orange:

I've got bells on all three bikes...   I'll take all the good luck I can get  ;)

And I don't mind hearing them jingle when I lay it down through curves. :2vrolijk_21:

My wife got one for me and  insisted on puting it on before I left the dealership on my new serk. Same goes for our son when he got his first harley. Even the shovel hard tail has one... (really need it on that bike...).

Ok, 1st time I have heard a 'story'  about the bell's............ and I don't have one, if anyone would like to 'gift' me one it would be appreciated  :)

More bad mojo.  See, the thing is, not only can you not purchase your own, you can't ask for it either.  It must be a gift given freely.   :2vrolijk_21:

And what good is a 'spell' if it's not administered properly?   :Phar!  :drink: spyder

Took my daughter with me today to pick up my bike after 1k service and she saw the bells and bought me one! I didn't have one on my Deer Dyna. Do you get more protection if the bell has a gaurdian angel on it?   She told me it's "What I needed". I didn't remind her about the other 3 bikes.......lol

Hope everyone has a safe ride into ES!!!  I am about to shut down for the night. Leaving at 8am.......arriving?????
Safe Journey all!!!

Are you taking ownership of this tasker, Spydy?

Put me down for 2 CVO ride bells.  I'll pass them along, and hopefully receive one somewhere along the way.

This could get complicated since we would all have to buy the bells for others and not for ourselves.

My friends bought me a bell and put it on my bike for me when I was in Myrtle Beach this year.  After breaking down in Eureka Springs and then getting a flat tire in TN on the ride across to Myrtle, they told me that I really needed the bell now, since bad chit happens in groups of 3.  They were right.  No 3rd occurrence.

Everybody I ride with has a bell on their bike. One of the two fellows who gave me my bell has two bells on his '08 FLHTCU.

His 16-year-old son just bought his first Sporty last week and I bought him a bell for his bike.

I bought a bell for my wife for her new bike this weekend. She forgot to retrieve her bell off the old bike when she traded up from her '07 FLSTC to a new '09 FLHX. She got her first bell when I got mine -- from the same two friends. Her '05 XL1200C had a mildly eventful journey to Myrtle Beach and they felt it was probably a good idea to get her "belled up" before the ride home. It mostly worked. The ride home was uneventful except for losing the clevis pin on the front brake lever about 100 miles out.

The bell on my SERG has been on all three of my FLTRs. It was given to me by two best friends on our first trip to Myrtle Beach. I know this one worked. I've had two mishaps during this bell's tenure.

One incident was a run-in with a Hummer. The bike took $14K is *cosmetic* damage, but we were able to finish our trip.

The other incident was a pully that sheared off at the axle at 85mph. Not too much traffic around, so we coasted to the shoulder and called a friend who brought my trailer and towed us home.
