Ok
Since the bones are getting a little old and mostly bruised up I usually can't swing my right leg over from the low side (left side) without scaring up the seat or a saddle bag by dragging my right foot on them once in a while

Not all the time, but sometimes if I'm not paying attention.
So I tried standing up with my right foot on the right floorboard (high side) and if I keep my weight leaning towards the tank I have found even at 250lb I can stand there and the bike won't tip back to the right side, it will still lean on the kick stand. Then I sort of pick my left leg up and step thru and over the drivers seat. I do this all in one quick motion so I don't take any chances of the bike tipping back on me.
It works well when the wife is on the back since I don't have to worry about kicking her with a swinging foot

.

But I have to make sure she's not leaning to much to the right when I get on because that can tend to tip the bike back to the high side off the stand.
All that being said, I still get on the low side sometimes anyway
