Please say that's not a cup holder on your handlebars.   :nervous: :nervous: :nervous:  That is a Harley isn't it?  Not a fancy painted Gold Wing.   :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2:

Actually it has never been used to hold a drink... But it holds my smokes real fine!  I use to have the pouches but didn't like the mark they left on my windshield so this works great for me.

Why did you buy a CVO.....

Because a friend of mine purchased a '03 SERK at that time I owned a '96 Fatboy and was impressed w/the power of the 103ci motor.... We then went to visit a dealer and he showed me what the MoCo was doing for CVO's in '04 and I was sold on the O/B SEEG..... as they say... the rest is history. I've enjoyed every minute of owning my :pumpkin:

I have driven metrics all my life, lots of miles.  My last bike was a Venture Royal from Yamaha, loved it did no modifications except a cup holder.. but at 25 years of age parts are getting to be a problem... so looking for a new (for me) bike

My daughter is my riding buddy, she is special needs and loves the sound of a Harley...  I love the RG because it sits similar to the Venture, and I dont like how close the batwing feels... so I'm looking locally and find beat up RGs for 15K

So I start surfing the web and find a 2001 SERG on eBay and win it for $13 K,,, and happy for me the Canadian $ has gone up in value... Im driving down to  pick it up on Wed and hope the weather is fine to ride it back.

What I like about the SE?  Its top of the line, is not common (up here anyways) and love the colour and its got lots of, as we use to say in the Army, LCF

Congrats on your new ride... You are going to love it and I hope your daughter does too.  No doubt she will.

it was more or less an accident  ;)

I've been riding black Road Kings for years and was perfectly happy with it. But the last one (mod. 05) used up 3 103 cui engines, the first 2 still under warranty, they lasted only 15.000 m each. So last winter we decided to get rid of the bike, after test-riding the 09-model we wanted the new frame too. But knowing the company, we planned to wait for the 10-models and did not intend to buy one of the first bikes with the new frame. January 2010 seemed a good time for a new Road King.

It wasn't meant to happen. In July the bike broke down again fatally.

So we needed a new bike really fast  ::)

No black Road King was availiable on short notice, SE 110 engine on backorder, no way to build a new King before August or even September. But our dealer had a FLHTCUSE4 since February, nobody wanted the bike in silver/blue. He offered to sell the bike for a good price and take it back next year if we still wanted a new Road King.

That's how I got the FLHTCUSE4 and as time passed by we decided to keep the bike. It's definitely not black enough but you get used to some little shortcomings  ;) Madame loves the spacious luggage-compartments, the fairing and all those little gimmicks - and I get used to the old man's way of riding  ;) With some little mods done I actually start liking the heavy bagger.

I may add a Fat Bob next year for the short ride solo.

Kraut, I'm guessing one of the images embedded in your post just above here is requiring what I'm now seeing.  Only happens on this page of this thread.  Making the assumption since your embedded images aren't displaying on their own and the login request is coming from a German site.

No problem.  Just thought you might wish to know.  Probably showed up normally on your end.

Indeed we do.  I've ridden full dressers since 1985.  I won't ride anything else.  Call me a "geezerglider" I don't care, that's a compliment to me.  Not only do I get to enjoy being on a bike and going from point A to B, I get to go there in comfort, listening to my tunes and having a BSR that's happy too...and trust me, that's very important. 8)

After riding a 2008 Heritage Classic for 32,500 miles my wife thought we should look at the 2010 SESG, we liked the Candy Concord color, and of course the 110 ci....What a woman....
