I, for one, am very interested in the new black bike. I have put in an order to the dealer. It will, however, in the end depend, on the trade-in for my '09.
Besides this, I can't really understand issues people have with "why are the pipes not black" with probably 80% of the pipes changed to aftermarket anyway.
And it is true that there are some little things (like the hinges), which are not optimal. But hey, who does not make mods right after taking delivery of the new CVO? I know I do, and I know I will. It is part of making it mine.
Regarding to the GPS, I like the Zumo. It is sure better than the built-in GPS, and Harley has acknowledged this by adding the Garmin range of motorcycle GPS units to their P&A catalogue for a while. While the Zumo maybe only included with the limited black CVO for know, it will surely be available with all bagger CVO's in the future. Note that the price difference between the three colors and the black one is approximately the street price of the Zumo unit. The location up in the fairing works well for me, it is closest to the line of sight, and preferable to any place lower in the fairing or elsewhere. The separate cable looks a little stupid.
Finally, for those guys who do prefer chrome (and I like chrome too), there are still the three other colors, plus the range of the three CVO Street Glides to choose from for a 2010 CVO bagger - and all have plenty of chrome to start.
Ride safely,
Louis
