Here are mine at 20K miles.
They were replaced.
Now I'm going to offer up a WAG (wild ass guess) and thought but based on some prior experience.
The chains on your 07 have worn in 16K miles. (in my case 20K)
With my TC 88's and 95's the old style tensioner's lasted longer as the miles are piled on and the chains got smoother.
So the question is, with the flexable pressed crank are you going with gear drive or sticking with the new style tensioner's?
My bet would be keeping the system you have and changing the shoes.
Just remember as Scott does, so does the rest of the site if their smart.
SBBI showed this picture a year ago when the bike was at 19K miles when everyone was thinking the new cam tensioner system was the greatest thing.
Now you find the same issue.
Not a very clear picture but the wear and grooves are there.
