finished

Were you able to get it all removed and installed without removing the tire?  No issues with the police around here?

Install done with the rear wheel off the ground to make it easier to get your hand up in there. I used a 1/4" flex head ratchet and had no problem.

Yes all work done without removing the tire,  also had the bike up on a jack.
I havent had any problems with the police, been to Chicago and all around the suburbs (twice) and to Sturgis not one issue with the curve partially hiding the numbers/sticker.  I did move the sticker down and in slightly to compensate for the curve.
If anyone has issues making this work let me know, I did a fair amount of tweaking to get mine just right.  I will be glad to assist.

inside of fender with original backing plate, you need to drill out the threaded mount holes to reuse this plate so you can also reuse the cover

You can mount it w/o drilling. It just not as "finished" looking as the drilled mounting. Still looks great tho! FWIW

Anyone from California use the Yaffe Curved License plate frame?

Really like it... But seems it might cover too much to get away with.

OK you guys win.

I give up on the new Kury Bracket. I am not comfortable with the new backing plate design.

So, I just got off of the phone with Yaffee and my tag frame is on it's way.

Many thanks for your guidance and pictures.

Regards

Jerry

UPDATE

Well after 2 weeks I called to find out the status of my order and actually talked briefly with Paul Yaffe. He isn't coming to Biktoberfest and said he never has. He only comes to Bike Week.

Apparantly there still are problems with the backing plate (may be the welded nuts but I am not sure) so no plate yet.

I may see it by next Friday but who knows.....

 Tyson:

Did you reuse the stock connection cover on the back of the fender or skip it?

ALSO, just curious is your 2012 SESG Dark Slate/Black Diamond? I ask because it looks blue in the picture.

Yes I used the cover. I was a little disappointed with the hardware kit supplied it had 2 carriage bolts some washers and spacers that you don't use but only one mounting bolt. So if you get this frame check your supplied bolts before you get started.

I have the same bike as yours. The chrome looks good and it's what I ordered. But with our color scheme I was wondering what the black woul look like.

So you installed just like the Krypo in the posts above ours and drilled the connector cover plate too?
