while we're at it.... has anybody touched the end of their weiner to a hot iron???

I once stuck a stick in my wiener and hung it over a fire. I liked it so much, for desert I did it with a marshmallow.

Well on 3 different occasions i decided to open her up and the results where the same. I hit 180 KM, 112 MPH (the Zummo 665 says 177 km) Someone said that riding at these speeds with a batwing is like riding with i piece of ply wood.....i believe him now. All 3 times once i hit 180 KM the bike would just start wobbling. I could not go any faster because the wobble would get worst as the bike picked up speed. Who knows....maybe the air is thicker up here in the great white north. I will be traveling south in 9 days going to Nashville then New Orleans. I will try again just in case the air is different or maybe there is less wind but i really do not think she will go any faster.
Well Mano I was out on highway 370 the other night and my 2011 SESG hit 122mph both on the speedo and GPS. Kid went by me at the same time in a wheelie on his R6. Seemed solid enough but I can't see it doing much more if any at all. I have a Fulsac header, TTS tuner, and V&H High outputs. Good luck on your speed run.

I can't believe that people are still replying to this subject.  (like I am).   120 ,,,  can anyone think of a dumber thing to do?    I really can't.   Unless someone wants to just end their life.   I really don't think these things are made for this. Do you? :nixweiss:

Hey, I resemble that remark. After being 216.2 MPH in 6.514 in the 1/4 mile on a Nitro Harley, a buck 20 on a bagger under the right conditions just doesn't seem that bad. lol  just sayin

Just look at how many people here have the need for speed.  Very few have not added cams or whatever to get more power.(We all bought the biggest motor HD puts in a bike)  I think most of us have a need for adrenaline.
Some like acceleration, some like top speed, some wheelies, some just want to be able to pass a truck with authority.  Some have limits of 90 or 100...but some cruise at 85...
I won't pass judgement.
By the way my USE4 really wobbles at speeds over 100.   :huepfenlol2:

Hey Mark, you mean to tell me that your speedo is accurate with your GPS?  Mine is out a couple of mph almost all the way up.  And that's allowing for the GPS 'lag'.

I had to set the cruise control on 83mph coming up I-59 in Alabama the other day. Any slower and I'd have been run over. When at 75 two nuns in a minivan passed me and I had enough. I really thought after twenty minutes that I was going to fast and backed down a tad.

Let me tell you a cicada at that speed is about like rock. :o

Again another of the most intelligent comments on this forum yet!!!! Well said.  Too many texting idiots out there nowadays to be taking those kinds of chances. When you do I hope you are on some long straight freeway with no trafiic and no wildlife lurking around in pastures beside the road.

Maybe there's a fine line between fear and common sense. Me personally, I'll go for Adrenaline as much as possible. I know for a fact I'm living a happy, healthy life till I'm 100+.

There is risk in:
1. going 120mph
2. riding motorcycles
3. not wearing a helmet
4. going 30mph
5. getting out of bed in the morning.
6. going 30mph slower than everyone else in the left lane (Grandma)
Everyone is entitle to an opinion...ride as fast as you are comfortable with, just don't put others at risk.
This subject is like helmet/no helmet...we all know riding with a helmet is safer but I still like to ride without sometimes, and likewise I still like to twist WFO, a calculated risk.
Call it dumb if you want.  Someone will have the opinion that You riding a motorcycle at any speed on the street is dumb.

My wife Sandy hit 110 this last weekend catching up after I held at 100 for a minute or two. The conditions were right for the speed with a wide open no traffic four lane in a rural area. She ain't no slow ole lady. :pepper:

Some people need WFO and those that don't should take care not to be critical. Just MO. :)
