25 and LOVING my first bagger, a 2011 kryptonite/black SESG!  Wish i could have afforded to keep my 06 vrscse2, but after getting used to having all this storage space, awesome sound system, comfort, tons of torque, and killer classic good looks, i really dont know when i would ride a second bike.

When you put your bike in the shop for upgrades, always nice to have a scoot to fall back on.  ;D

(long story on the 2007 lemon) . Now own the 2004 Pumpkin, 2008 CVO Ultra, 2008 Fat Bob (my favorite out of all). Believe it or not, but I have collected the dealer license plate frames for all motorcycles I have owned and have  11 hanging on my garage wall  :2vrolijk_21: Not counting 3 dirt bikes, one a Hodaka and two Yamaha's.......and i still own one of them, a 1972 Yamah 360 Enduro which I keep telling myself I will restore someday....

Ist bagger was a RK at the age of 48, first Ultra at 50, felt like my parents station wagon, so I completely customized it to the point it no longer resembled an Ultra, love it looked more like a street glide does today, but that was in 96.

51 years old and own s 09 Road King Classic and an 09 SEDFB(yellow). Love both but having the bags is great when you need to change out gear due to weather changes. The Fatbob is a horsepower /torque beast and great fun but tough on  the face and ass.

I think that bike choice is also related to economics and the non-tourers are cheaper. In general more mature men(age) have more discretionary funds and area able to pony up for the big expensive CVO baggers.

My 51 y/o buddy just bought the new SERG and said he learned long time ago that it was better to be comfortable than cool.

I'm 52. I had not owned a bike for 20 years and initially picked a Low Rider. Didn't want an 'old man's' bike. Needless to say, a BIG mistake. I found out real quick your tolerance level and comfort needs change as you get older.  ::)

Three months later I bought my first Electra Glide.

I'm 51 in a month.

I can't live without saddlebags, but I like the whole motorcycle experience, wind and all. If I want to be protected from the wind, have crash protection, a bunch of electronic gadgets, heat, music, and carry everything I own I'll drive my damn truck. Give me a bunch of HP, a decent chassis, and a curvy road and I'll make my own entertainment...

first bagger was my `95 flhtc. (in 95 when i was 45). after 15 years with my `74 fxe i got tired of not having extra clothes with me or ability to stop at store on my way home. newspaper and food demanded i take a truck. i came home at 1 in the morning freezing with just a t-shirt on way too many times. ordered the `95 and never looked back. as a kid i remember having baskets in the rear and front of my bike.  it helped for school books and paper delivery, so i guess that was my first bagger(1950`s)
