Dang, in three more years I'll be a 1%'r.  Doc

And three more after that and you'll be a 0.5%'r, which is like being "low fat", then you'll be 0.25%'r and be "no fat", and on, and on ad nauseam.

Bought my first Bagger at 26, 79 FLH Classis in "87" and still have it. Have had 2 more since and still own them. Wouldn't have anything else. Tried to
talk the wife into one but, she went with a Dyna Convertible.   Chilly

I will be 61 in June. Started off with a 77 Sporty, then an 80 Sturgis. Rode it for 28 years and bought the 08 RK. Thought I was comfortable for 28 years till I went with the bagger. I now have an 11 SESG. Love those baggers but still ride the Sturgis but not so far now.

Within certain limitations, you can ride a bagger like a sport bike, but you can't really ride a sport bike like a bagger.  I've had at least one bagger in the stable since I first bought a Yamaha Venture Royale to go along with an FJ1100, a XV920, and a couple of Husqvarnas.  Different bikes for different purposes.  I don't believe there's a one 'do-it-all' bike made.

First Harley @ 40....first bagger @ 43.  My Ultra  with the quick detach tour pack and lowers, 4" windshield, and a SG seat is pretty much my 'all-in-one' bike.

    • CVO1: '10 SESG Spiced Rum

Rode a 350 Honda Scrambler in college  Drooled over HDs for years. Pulled the trigger at 57 on a CVO Springer. Three years later bought my SESG. I swore I'd never be caught dead on one. Rode the Springer lots of places and states. Wow, what a difference frame and amenities make. Ten hours of holding a throttle grip and no music is a long day. Ten hours on the SESG and you're just getting somewhere. I'm hooked.

Not only have I been riding baggers since I was 31, (I'm now 57), they've all been full dressers.  I currently have an '11 SEURG and a '10 SESG...I wouldn't have it any other way.  I love riding in comfort, found out I really don't like bugs in my teeth, and I like to listen to music when I ride. :)
