For those who don't like the idea of an additional device plugged in in the ol' garage, you can also take a regular remote from your garage door opener company and open it up, locate the contacts that the switch button operates, solder a couple wires to them, button it all back up and mount it out of sight in the fairing or under a side panel, and then mount a weatherproof momentary switch in a convenient location and attach the wires. This method eliminates any interference issues between the Harley receiver and the garage door opener that can drastically reduce range. It will also eliminate the need to replace the nice fancy wall controls on some of the new door openers to make the opener work with the wired Harley device.
Just thought I'd mention the alternative for those who like to tinker. If you already have an unused extra remote for your garage door opener, it's a very inexpensive alternative, as in less than $10 and maybe an hour of your time, and there are no compatibility issues to rear their ugly heads. I had my previous bike set up this way and it worked much better than the Harley device in my SEEG.
