Can you imagine how boring it would be to come to this website and find nothing but posts like:

I rode my bike today.  It started up immediately.  I rode for hours and I got home at exactly the time I had planned.  My radio worked all day and so did my GPS.  My seat was comfortable for the entire ride and when I filled the tank, not a drop was spilled.  I just loved the sound of my engine and my bike went in a straight line when I wanted it to.  Did anybody else go for a ride today and get home on time?

Get serious!  This forum would be useless.  It's when a problem is identified, and a solution is found, that we all benefit from that knowledge.  It's when there is something on the bike that operates as designed or looks as it should, but alternate parts are found to operate or look better, we all benefit from that knowledge.

If you go to some sort of medical forum, would you expect to see posts from people with problems, or "Hi, I'm Dave, and I'm very healthy and I feel and look great"?  Yes, it's nice to hear that you have a bike that you are thrilled with and has never had a problem, but frankly that isn't helping me much when I have a problem to solve.  I could go on, but I think everyone should get the point by now.

I also noticed the negativism generated by the introduction of the 2014 model year.  I even made a post about basically jumping the gun and criticizing the MOCO for something that nobody even knew the facts about yet, and there is actually evidence to support the opposite.  Those are opinions, and like an a**hole, everybody has one, not that there's anything wrong with that.

I'm not afraid to visit the forum because someone mentioned they had a problem.  I want to know what to be on the lookout for.  When I see the things that happen to others, I pretty much say to myself, "Wow, that sucks!  I'm glad I haven't had that problem"...and I move on to the next post.

I've logged over 20,000 miles on my CVO without an issue. My friends have done the same. All I hear on hear on this forum is how the lifters fail, the cranks fail, and especially how terrible HD is treating people. It's becoming a downer and the three of us in my group with CVO's don't even want to login. We love riding and have done for decades. We love our bikes and have absolutely no issues. My dealer doesn't know know of any real issues with the 110's in particular. The 2014's look nice but not enough for me to trade my Kryptonite. I don't hate the 14's at all and don't really think they will have any great issues. I know I don't post cause I'm out riding. My CVO is awesome

My 09 SERG was a great bike, only a couple issues, bad chrome on front wheel, replaced by MoCo.  Right turn signal would short out system, dealer found scraped wire and replaced.  Then, after I traded it in Nov 11 with 42,000 plus miles on it, while potential customer at Dealer ship started the bike, the lifter failed.  So, my dealer knows about failed lifters in 110's, mine was not the only one.

Love my 12 CVO RG Skunk!  However it has had more warranty issues than any other harley I have owned.  Failed voltage regulator on a trip, on a Sunday with no dealer with in 250 miles open.  Ended up riding it 180 miles to my parents house in MI by switching batteries back and forth with my wife and her street glide.  I was un happy about the regulator on a trip but made the best of it.  Battle Creek Dealer treated me great, got the MoCo to over night a regulator as there was not one with in 300 miles.  Since then the clutch master cylinder failed, and then four months later the front brake master cylinder failed.  On both the the piston scored the cylinder beyond repair.  Warranty again.  Bike is 20 months old and has 28600 miles on it.

My 13 CVO King as of yet has had no issues.  I am sure it now has no motor warranty, as a 2500 miles I built the motor, I am sure the lifters will not fail, as they are woods, not HD.  Crank my go as I make a bit more HP and torque than stock, just over 120 on both HP and torque.  Bike is a blast to ride.

I for one like the 14 CVO King with the exception of the FUGLY taillights.

I also really like the CVO Deluxe, but I have a soft tail and will not get another, my wife on the other had will and love the Deluxe.

I like the changes on the dash of the Batwing and the batwing itself.  I however do not like riding them, my wife has one.

I can wait to see the new Road Glide when it comes out, hope it has the upgrades.

Just gotta get one made on a Wednesday afternoon... or better yet on a Thursday.

Except if it is the Thursday or Friday before the Thanksgiving week break when they roll the bikes onto the truck without final inspection. They just can't get out of the building fast enough.

This was the case for my 2007 FLHTCUSE2 when it arrived with unpainted inner fairing, a gas tank with major paint damage, etc.

This is a small handful of issues in a large world. I haven't had any major issues on my '12 and I have 11,4xx miles and counting.  :nixweiss:

It amazes me how many people supposedly?? love their Harley's on this site but constantly bitch about them.  There are a FEW individuals on this site that have posted thousands of times and  no matter what the issue, they always complain about their bikes, how Chitty they run and how Harley doesn't give a rats ass about any of their bikes or customers.  To those few I say, "Get the hell off the site and start a new bitchn site".    You FEW are real downers!!!  Constructive discussion is what the site is for.   Thanks for posting the thread.  I've thought the same for years.

You must not be married. ;)

You beat me to it!

We love our spouses but we bitch about them, too!

But most of us would never get rid of them and go to another "brand"...

+1 Ken! Those who do change "brands" find that every brand has its strengths and weaknesses. The newer (younger) models can be very high maintenance.

This is my third "brand", and my wife's fourth. Both of us are tired of the switching costs.

We'll stay together forever... even as her bags start to sag, and my crank has more and more... ummm... runout!!!

ROTFL! Yeah, that may be needed down the road a bit!

I'll try some of those little blue "fuel additive" pills first though...

A couple rubber bands and some popcicle sticks do wonders...splinters can be an issue, however.....  :huepfenlol2:
