Enough of this kind of talk.  We're all different and have different opinions.  One thing I've learned on this site is that it's the PEOPLE that I've met and not the "souped" up bikes that really make the difference.   Come to a GTG (MV'13) and see a real attitude among us brothers.

IMO I don't mind reading other peoples issues or complaints or opinions.....what I do get tired of are people who want to suppress others opinions, sort of like our Government.    did I say that  :zthread: anyway I thought this thread was about the issues with the CVO?  My 13 FLHTCUSE8 has already had an issue with its cruise control attempting to kill me on the freeway.  And yes that did throw a tad of negativity on my CVO.  Some things just shouldn't happen.

Lets see now, Jerry has close to 9000 post and most of us here know that most of them were him taking the time to help someone out with a problem.  I have never met or talked to Jerry but he has sent me personal emails to help me locate or fix a few problems.  He sent instruction sheets, updates that the dealer said did not exist to help with the early 08 FBW issues etc.  The throttle would erratically take off without any input from me, pretty scary.  Jerry is not the only one that has done this as there are a number of very helpful, experienced and time giving folks on this site.  If their were no issues do you think he & others that you are referring to would have sent out that many post on this site.  I never looked at these post as negative I and other long time owners have seen the decline in quality and that is a fact.  They are getting prettier but don't think about putting touring mileage like maybe 200,000 without some major issues, it's possible but not very likely.  I wish the original poster all the luck in the world, my first Harley started on fire the very first day I took it home, beat that one!   He didn't say they all do that, I wonder why!

The H-D Kool-Aid only works if you have plenty of money to spend ....on things that should of been included when you spent the first 40K............ ;D

:nixweiss: I'm one of the 07 Beta testers. I purchased several items including a new a/c. Thought about it all winter, early spring decided to install the new a/c. So glad I did, as I could have been riding for quite some time with what I found. AND this is when the CVO's were hand built. Keep in mind the "A Hole" was looking right at this as he plowed the screws through it, and then covered it up. Is this whining when this type of info is shared  :nixweiss:

A good example of the 'love/hate relationship' we have with these bikes since you didn't switch to another brand after finding this.  :-[ spyder

Wow! I'd be willing to BET that happened on a Wednesday morning, after Tuesday Night Bowling... or on a Friday afternoon before a holiday weekend...

I am still riding it but the 110 is in my basement in a box. The first 4 years my bike spent 9 weeks during riding season in the shop mostly due to oil leaks. I am just happy I am not plagued with electrical issues or wobbles etc. I'm sure anyone else that found what I did including the fellow who started this thread would not have been silent about it. And by the way I haven't purchased a new one since. The good news is this summer and last I made it without issues. As I said before if you are one of the fortunate without issues ride and smile brother I envy you.

I'm with you 100% brother, if not for our so-called negative opinions (bitching) when the 110 was release / unleashed on us during the 2007 production year, the Motor Company wouldn't have addressed the vast amount of miscues found within the 110 power plant, and yet many still remain. One should be careful when criticizing current events without having knowledge of the history of which he critiques
