On November 23rd 2011 my 2012 Hot Citrus SESG was delivered to my home. The sales person informed me during the document signing process that I could purchase a ESP for a considerable amount of money at that time or anytime during the factory warranty. I chose to not be a willing participant in any ESP because it seems to me that the customer, you & I, pay these people to tell us what we can do with & to an already very expensive product & then if there is a problem with the product, we are expected to smooch their rears & beg them to provide a service that I would have already paid them for in full, up front. The ESP provider should be difficult with the MOCO for not engineering & building a better product, not the purchaser of the actual problematic product.
The other issue that kept me from participating in a ESP is that if there were to be any stock parts failure, it is well known that the ESP will only replace deficient stock parts with more deficient stock parts, from a common sense standpoint this is unacceptable & I couldn't bring myself to drink the ESP's Kool-aid, I've already drank too much of the MOCO's. I love my bike & would not trade it for anything but I'll take the $ I didn't spend on a ESP & spend it on the bike & handle things myself.
