Don't know what year Rinehart's you have - but the early ones had an issue...  The bung on the front cylinder pipe was pointing at the oil cooler adapter (the adapter the filter mounts to).  The narrow band 02 sensors fit (barely), but the longer wide band sensors did not fit unless the adapter was rotated as far as possible, and had clearance machined (or ground).

see here....  http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=9738.msg150672#msg150672

I put them on in '06, same year as your post. ;)  Is nothing easy? :nixweiss: :confused5: ::)

So to quit hijacking this thread can someone pm me and tell me if European bikes don't have or use Cb's for group riding.

Even if a European bike had CB it wouldn't help you here Chip.  At least if we assume it was a European CB.  They use different fregs for the CB channels.

Didn't think of this before.  But a European CB wouldn't do Chip any good anyway.  He can't speak European.

Wow, DesertBeaer, that really sucks.  Harley's been having issues like this since at leat 2000 when I had a couple 88 CI twin cams replaced in my FLHTC.  If you get a good one hold onto it.  If you get a lemon keep taking it back until it's spent a total of 30 days in the shop, then bring the lemon law down on them (if your state has one).

As of this past Sat Mother Harley has requested all my ECM Data to determine if I have abused the motor in any way. I hope they can compile data to show that there is a trend with the 110 and possibly issue a SB on the 110 Crank.(NOT)!!

Those types of requests are an absolute crock.  The manufacturer has a rev limiter built in to the system and thereby both defines and precludes against "abuse."  When they ask a question like "did you ride it to hard" the answer has to be "no harder than you let me."  What bullchit.

Hawaii has lemon law now... (for motorcycles)

Today the MOCO is requesting measurements and with the ECM data trying to determine what is failing. No end in site.

Well I just got off the phone with my local harley and they told me the Moco got all the data they needed and have turned it over to Consumer Affairs. Being this is my second motor that has failed they have turned it over to them. My question is what will Consumer Affairs do?

Seems to me they should be contacting you to see what they can do to make this right by you! To much checking internally what to do and not enough checking with the customer. Done ranting.

That's a rather cryptic message from the MOCO, isn't it...

No comment on what they learned or concluded from the data?   :nixweiss:

Just the message that they handed you off to another department?     :bigcry: :sauer005:

Maybe your reply should have been "Thank you very much I have now turned this case over to my lawyer along w/notifying the Better Business Bureau and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration". :sauer005:
