i'm curious as to the answer of 1abastarsmda's question as well, 'do you have aftermarket exhaust and/or a tuner on the bike?'
would like to know how in-depth the esp folks went, were they searching for a way to get out of paying, or was it up front and painless (relatively speaking)?
it was nothing like upfront and painless. If that was the case, i would have gotten the engine repaired a lot differently.
it was very painful and took too long & created needless hours of missed riding over the course of 4 weeks. Then of course its a $33K bike that experienced catstrophic engine failure at 18K miles. WTF is that??? The more you pay for the bike, the less reliable, makes no sense to me.
my 04 which i paid approx 14K for as a used police bike, now has 157K plus miles on it and never misses a damn beat. Its been ridden all over the US, in rain, sleet, hail, heat, off road, freeway, high speed and low speed.
I have rebuilt the engine ONCE, from the crank up and its had the cylinders off twice, once to go 103, then to go 107. it uses NO oil and runs like a swiss watch consistantly producing over 120 ft lbs of torque.
the saying "they don't make em like they use too" applies to this situation.
once i get this CVO back from the dealer, if it does not run correctly it will find a new home.
